The challenge, a healthy one not that crappy MTV reality show

My girl Skim asked me to join her health challenge team this morning. Fitness? Motivation? Teamwork? Count me in.

Here’s the skinny:
1. Sign-up with a team for $20.
2. Choose your goal to either lose 6% of your body weight or maintain within 1% (without going below 6%).
3. Earn points each day by completing steps to attain this goal (healthy eats, workout, reading up on healthy topics, etc.)
4. Winner of the challenge gets all the pool money!

The real challenge for me? Choose this new goal of losing 6% or keep with what I have been working towards all summer. My ultimate goal has been to get down to 20% body fat, which I am about 1% away from. For the sake of keeping with that I should choose the maintenance route, since believe it or not losing body fat does not directly correlate with losing weight. So I will have the 6% in mind, but at the end of the day I am really going to work towards my 20%. The Challenge starts September 15 and lasts for a total of 6 weeks. I’ll leave the link below for anyone that wants to join and get inspired! Remember, the goal is motivation and teamwork, progress comes slowly but is well worth it in the end.
